This is pretty much why I can’t take Slut Machine seriously as a feminist and also why I can’t understand why young women look up to her as a feminist icon/role model. (picture snagged from Slut Machine’s “One D at a Time” blog.)
This picture of breasts accompanied by the “I’m like, smart” caption is on the same exact level as Paris Hilton’s constant vacant-gazed posing and exclamations of “That’s hot!” The fact that so many young women look up to and idolize women like Slut Machine and Paris makes me terrified to ever have a daughter. Is theirs fifth-wave feminist? Are we going back to making our physical appearance and sexual appeal to men be the basis of our self-worth? Why? Also, Slut Machine and Paris are also in that category of people who are famous for no good reason. Slut Machine = famous for fucking lots of dudes. Paris = famous for fucking lots of dude, going to jail, and being worth zillions of dollars she had no part in earning. What great role models! *dies*
